Italdesign’s industrial design was officially established in the spring of 1981. April 2021 is the perfect time to celebrate the 40th anniversary: the Turin-based company has been awarded three among the most important design awards in the world.
Four decades during which Italdesign has had the chance to work with many of the most important companies in the world, thanks to which it has been able to collect more than 200 design awards worldwide.
The collaboration with Russian rolling stock manufacturer TMH has been awarded with both Red Dot Design Award and the iF Award.
The TMH Deina metro train has been successful in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021. The international jury has awarded Deina the Red Dot: Best of the Best in the “Trains and Planes” category. The highest distinction in the competition is synonymous with ground-breaking design and is awarded only to the best products in a category.
The DNA design project for TMH’s new train fleet won the iF Design Award 2021 for its “Design Excellence” within the “Vehicle” category, after being awarded the Good Design and Red Dot in 2020. The TMH Brand DNA is a unique identity that will be recognizable not only in Russia, but throughout the world.
Hi-tech workplace lamp Prisma, developed in collaboration with Swiss lighting company L.E.S.S., has been awarded the Red Dot Award 2021 in its category. Based on its unique and proprietary nano active fiber technology it is designed for watchmaker and pharma industry to be the most revolutionary workplace lamp that combines an elegant design and exceptional perfomance.
