The ADAS & Connected Car Department offers the development of self driving systems (SDS), with complete design of the following items: use cases, Perception, Data Fusion, Motion control and Control dynamics.

Starting from the customer inputs, the most suitable use cases are identified, logical models and algorithms are defined and the source code is implemented, in order to achieve the complete system development.

The team deals with specifications such as: System and Functions Specification Requirements Engineering along the whole specification phase, Clarification of Handling of Change requests, Tier1 Supplier Steering (Implementation), Discussion of performance specification once done by the supplier, Update «System42» with the latest deliveries.

Another important topic is Verification/Validation: Support to the testing activities of the specific functions and the system, Support to testing activities at the different test places, Testing cars preparation with the latest softwares and assistance of connected departments with testing.

Testing and validation of developed systems are performed in the internal labs, by means of virtual environment for vehicle dynamics.
